Bose Tennis was founded in 2003 by Duke University graduate Alex Bose. Bose Tennis is a modern full service tennis management company. We provide professional tennis services including instruction for individuals and groups of all ages. Our programs are designed for all levels regardless of background or ability. Bose Tennis is professionally licensed and insured to provide any and all tennis services.
Alex Bose
Founder

Alex Bose was born in Germany and after having a successful junior career there he was invited to train at the world famous Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy (now part of IMG Academies) on a full scholarship. Under the guidance of Nick Bollettieri and the talented coaches at the academy, Alex’s game quickly developed helping him earn an ITF Junior World Ranking in the top 25. Alex also competed on the ATP World Tour reaching a professional world ranking in the top 500s. Alex competed in over 30 countries during his playing career which included participation in all 4 Grand Slam Events. Alex’s most memorable win on tour was beating ATP top 10 player Paradorn Srichapan of Thailand. Alex’s favorite tournament memory was competing in the Wimbledon Championships. Another fond memory was playing doubles at the ATP Tour Event in Halle, Germany with world #2 Tommy Haas against world #1 doubles player Mahesh Bhuphati of India. Alex has trained, traveled or played with some of the world's most famous players like Pete Sampras, Tommy Haas, Anna Kournikova, Martina Hingis, Andre Agassi, Bjorn Borg, Monica Seles and Gustavo Kuerten, just to name a few.

In 1999 Alex attended Duke University on a full tennis scholarship and helped earn Duke Tennis a birth to the NCAA Tournament Elite 8 and a #2 NCAA Division I national ranking. In the 2000/01 season, Alex led the Duke Tennis team with the most wins.

After graduating from Duke University, Alex founded Bose Tennis, a company that caters to the vast array of needs in the tennis industry. Bose Tennis manages players both on a professional and amateur level. Bose Tennis services include the facility management of resorts, country club programs and administration, summer programs, junior programs, adult programs, tennis facility management, marketing and promotion, tennis player development, training and coaching. Junior, Collegiate and professional tennis & life management, coaching, scheduling, traveling and endorsements, college placements for junior players, university athletic scholarship consulting, tennis camps, tournaments and tournament travel.

Alex Bose is a USTA Tournament Director and is certified at the highest professional coaching level with both recognized coaching organizations, USPTA and USPTR. His credentials include Cardio Tennis, Sports Science Certifications, Little Tennis, USTA Leagues and USTA QuickStart Tennis. Bose is a member of the USPTA, USPTR, USTA and ATP and is currently still very active in competing when time permits and boasts a ranking of #1 in singles, doubles and mixed doubles in the Open Division in Florida winning 2 USTA national open titles in 2010. He is also part of USTA High Performance Coaching program. Alex is father to  12 and 13 year old Irish twins named Sophie and Maddox who love playing tennis.

Danny Colten
Director of Junior Tennis

Danny Colten, originally from Colorado, is the Director of Junior Tennis. Danny is a junior high performance coach and has also worked with several WTA Tour players. He is a member of the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), a professional stringer and a USTA Tournament Director. Danny has an extraordinary passion for tennis and children and it is reflected in his successful approach to create our future champions one individual at a time. Danny's expertise includes tennis specific fitness and nutrition programs and 10 and under tennis.

Colten graduated from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California with a degree in business administration and helped guide the Cougars to a top 5 college tennis ranking with both his singles and doubles success.

Danny has developed many junior programs up to the national playing level throughout the country. He has owned Pro Shops and traveled coaching WTA players. His impressive resume also includes being the assistant coach at Azusa Pacific University, running Nike Summer Camps and successfully competing at the Men's Open level nationwide. Danny is a rated 6.0 level player by the USTA so you will have to bring your A game to challenge him.
